Equating Gibran with the deadly truck driver in GT Halim, Hasto touched on age

JAKARTA – Secretary General (Sekjen) DPP PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto equalize Gibran Rakabuming Raka with a driver with the initials MI which caused a series of collisions at the Halim Toll Gate (GT), East Jakarta several days ago.

Hasto said that one of the factors in the accident occurred because the driver did not have a driver’s license and was still under the general age. He said that the driver’s maturity level was not yet mature because he immediately became emotional when he was hit by a car.

“This is an example of how when people are only oriented towards results, (while) process, age is ignored, then this is also dangerous because of maturity in carrying out certain positions,” said Hasto in the Sing Waras Sing Menang webinar entitled Sing Waras Suing at the Constitutional Court, Rights Questionnaire? MKMK decision? which will be held on Saturday (30/3/2024).

Hasto believes that this is also dangerous for people who want to manage a country as big as Indonesia. Moreover, said Hasto, the problems in Indonesia are very complex.

“Economic problems, social problems, geopolitical problems, poverty problems, religious egoism problems are also often problems related to our spiritual mentality,” he said.

On that basis, Hasto criticized Gibran’s candidacy when running for the 2024 presidential election. Hasto said that Gibran was running as vice presidential candidate because he is the son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and has experience as Mayor of Solo for two years.

“I always say how do we educate our children, how can religious lessons be accepted, how can moral education be accepted when there are things at the national level that cannot be a picture of an ideal. This is what will create the damage,” explained Hasto.
