Entry of citizens from countries with Covid-19 to Angola is prohibited

The order from the Ministry of Health comes into force today, March 3, which determines that while the Covid-19 epidemic lasts, citizens coming directly from China, Italy, South Korea, Iran, Nigeria, Egypt and Algeria.

The limitation is not applicable to those arriving in Angola through third countries, that is, for example, if a Chinese person comes from Portugal, he will not be barred from entering Luanda.

The document warns that all transport companies must inform travelers in advance about the ban, and if they violate the Ministry’s instructions, the immediate repatriation of said travelers will be their responsibility.

It is the sole responsibility of the National Directorate of Public Health, based on the criteria defined in the order, to update the list of affected countries daily, the increase in covid-19 cases worldwide and the need to prevent the expansion of the epidemic in Angola .

The criteria in article no. 1 are defined in accordance with the international health regulations ratified by the Angolan State through resolution no. 32/08 of 1 September in conjunction with Article no. 02 of Presidential Decree no. 21/18 of 30 January which approves the Organic Statute of the Ministry of health.
