As reported, at around 8:15 p.m. on August 6, driver Huynh Minh D. (54 years old, residing in Gia Lai province) was driving a tractor trailer with license plate 82H-018.xx on the Buon Ho bypass in the direction of Gia Lai – Dak Lak.
When the vehicle reached the Buon Ho bypass, passing through Ea Drong commune (Cu M’gar district, Dak Lak), it suddenly encountered an accident and stopped.
Then, a truck with license plate 81C-239.xx drove up. At this time, because there was an oncoming vehicle in front, driver Hoang could not turn left to continue moving, so he stopped behind the tractor trailer.
At the same time, a truck with license plate 60H-047.xx driven by Phan Xuan Cuong (25 years old, residing in Lam Dong province) rushed forward and hit driver Hoang’s truck from behind.
The strong collision caused driver Phan Xuan Cuong to die on the spot and 2 others died on the way to the hospital. The accident also injured 3 others who were taken to the emergency room.
At the scene, two trucks were crushed and deformed; the tractor trailer was also partially damaged.
