Emotional alertness: 11 tips to feel better in just fifteen minutes

How to feel better in your body? There are many ways that bring results only after weeks or months. But we have tips for you that will make your body feel better right now!

1. Breathe in

Breathing literally “from full lungs” is an easy way to recharge your energy. Sit up straight with your eyes closed, inhale slowly and count to six. Then hold your breath for a count of three, tensing every muscle in your body. Then count to six again, exhale while relaxing the muscles. Repeat several times.

2. Stand up

Even if you have a sedentary job, getting up and taking a few quick steps every hour will help you feel good and be productive. Blood vessels have a natural tendency to constrict when inactive, making you feel tired even if you’re not sleep-deprived. You will find yourself in a great mood without even knowing how.

3. Have a lemon

Maybe you drink water with lemon in the morning, but lemons can also give you a good feeling during the day. The smell of lemon is considered to be very stimulating and has a positive effect on the mood. You can also use lemon essential oil in an aroma lamp.

4. Sing to yourself

Singing – especially when it’s really felt and loud – is a full-body experience. With it, you breathe deeply, you naturally bring yourself into harmony and recharge yourself with energy.

5. Laugh

Find something to laugh about. Even if you’re not laughing. Studies show that smiling and laughing naturally promotes the release of “happy hormones” and improves your mood for several hours.

6. Pay a compliment

Yes, complimenting someone else is really another way to make yourself feel better. Make sure to try it, at least once every day! Thanks to the fact that you praise someone and make them happy, they will also radiate happiness from you. It’s a similar feeling to giving someone an unexpected gift.

7. Go outside

A ten minute brisk walk is proven to give you extra energy for the next two hours! You can also try it during working hours. Not only the movement itself will have a positive effect on you, but also the fact that you will be exposed to sunlight, which is missing in most office buildings.

8. Choose a dress…

…in the right size. It sounds trivial, but keep this in mind when you find another “slimming” dress on sale. You will never feel really good in them, you will always be slightly insecure in them. Of course, this is doubly true for shoes.

9. Get drunk

Dehydration is one of the most common causes of fatigue. When we don’t have enough fluids in our body, the heart has to work even harder so that the blood can supply the cells with oxygen and nutrients. We all know this, but we often ignore it during the long work day.

10. Hug each other

And we mean a really sincere, warm hug where you really press into the other person. It will give you a dose of the happy hormone oxytocin and make you happier. If you don’t have anyone to hug (because aloof and cold hugs don’t count), you can also hug your dog.
