Dubai,Dubai : Emirates Group has announced a four per cent hike in the basic salary of its employees, effective Monday, July 1. The announcement comes at a time when the airline group plans to implement several changes in salaries and benefits for 2024.
In an email sent to its employees, seen by Khaleej Times on Sunday, June 30, key changes include transport allowances, UAE National Retention Allowances
includes a four per cent increase in working hours of flight crew. The benefits package includes a 10 to 15 per cent increase in maintenance and housing allowances, details of which will be disclosed in the contract amendment letter dated July 22, 2024.

From September 1, 2024, certain grades of employees will receive an increase in long-term sick leave and a 10 per cent increase in education assistance allowance. The decision comes after Emirates gave employees a 20-week bonus following its record financial performance in the fiscal year ending in March 2024.
The group has also stepped up its recruitment process, aiming to hire 5,000 cabin crew, including pilots, flight attendants and engineers, in 2024.
