Elon Musk Explains Why He Takes Ketamine – ‘It’s Good…’

Ketamine, allegedly used by Elon Musk, or Special K, as it is known in drug circles, is a dissociative anesthetic used as a treatment for depression and pain management, providing relief, sedation and amnesia.

CEO Elon Musk said in an interview with former CNN anchor Don Lemon posted online Monday that prescription ketamine was beneficial for Tesla, according to Reuters.

In particular, Musk emphasized in the interview that the drug helps him manage a “negative chemical state” similar to depression.

“From Wall Street’s perspective, what matters is the outcome,” Musk said.

“For investors, if there’s something I’m getting, I should keep getting it,” he said.

A Wall Street Journal investigation published in January said Musk had used drugs including LSD, cocaine, ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms, worrying executives and board members at his companies.

Possible violation of laws

The newspaper raised concerns that the use of illegal drugs could constitute a violation of federal laws that could jeopardize SpaceX’s government contracts.

The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, said a Tesla executive was so frustrated with Musk’s behavior that he did not support his re-election to the board in 2019.

Musk responded to the newspaper’s report on X in January, saying he had agreed to three years of random drug testing at the request of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, which works with SpaceX. “There was no trace of drugs or alcohol,” Musk said.

Musk told Lemon he had a prescription for ketamine. The billionaire estimated he was getting “a small amount every other week”.

His comments were in response to Lemon asking what Musk’s ketamine prescription was for and if he ever worried “that it might get in the way of your government contracts and licensing and Wall Street.”

Lemon posted the interview on YouTube and X after saying last week that Musk was canceling an exclusive partnership that “The Don Lemon Show” had with the former Twitter.
