In the three surveys carried out by the Morena party on the reform of the Judiciary proposed by the Presidency of the Republic, more than 80% of those interviewed considered it necessary to approve it, reported the virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum.
At a press conference at his offices in Iztapalapa, Sheinbaum announced the surveys that the Morena party ordered to be carried out, two of which were contracted with private companies and one was conducted by the party itself.
In the surveys it was determined that in one of them 78% of those interviewed considered the reform of the Judiciary necessary, in another, 83% and in Morena’s 81 percent.
In the question about who should elect the members of the Judiciary, in one of them the result was that 68% considered that the citizens, in the second 75% and in Morena’s 75 percent.
“It is information to be considered in this discussion that is going to open these days. Ricardo Monreal informed me that these days the Constitutional Points and Permanent Commission will meet and they will be informing how long it will last, how many tables there will be, where they will be, who will participate, how the population.
“It is now up to the legislators who are going to protest because it would probably be approved in September. We are going to leave a space for forums, dialogue, debate. What we are presenting is the opinion, what people say, I think it is important,” said Sheinbaum.
Given Morena’s position of opening forums to listen to positions on the reform, Sheinbaum said that all positions will be heard and it will be the legislators who will decide whether to modify the reform initiative sent by the presidency.
Sheinbaum insisted that the percentage of those who approve the reform is even higher than the percentage of voters who voted for it in the recent election.
In the surveys, Enkoll’s survey states that 54% of those interviewed said that they were not aware of the reform of the Judiciary, while in the De las Heras survey the percentage was 49% and that of Morenista work the percentage was 51%. .
Call close to town
The Morena party is not and should not be a state party, assured Claudia Sheinbaum, virtual president-elect.
At a press conference, Sheinbaum was questioned about the loss of registration of the PRD, the party to which she belonged.
He highlighted that the PRD distanced itself from citizens and popular causes, and its leaders preferred proximity to parties such as the PRI and the PAN, and for this reason, he said, Morena should not follow that path.
“We do not want Morena to be a state party, but rather a party that continues to represent the people of Mexico, it is the party with which we participate electorally, but it is important that Morena remains close to the people,” Sheinbaum said.
He said that the Party of the Democratic Revolution began to decline the moment it joined the Pact for Mexico, with the PRI, the PAN and the government of Felipe Calderón.
