SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – A 71-year-old man died after falling into a hole about 40 meters deep that he had dug in the kitchen of his home in the city of Ipatinga, Minas Gerais.
Witnesses told firefighters on the scene that the victim had started digging after a dream in which he believed he had received the revelation that there was gold under the house.
The body of the elderly man was recovered this Thursday (5) by the men of the headquarters of the 11th Fire Brigade of Minas Gerais.
Despite being deep, the gaping hole in the kitchen’s ceramic floor was narrow, just 90 centimeters in diameter, and images released by the company show that only one person could descend into the cavity at a time.
With the help of ropes and appropriate equipment the victim was removed. According to firefighters, the body had multiple fractures.
