Name of the convicted person. Nazmul Mollah (29). He is a resident of South Charbagat village of Bagat Union of Madhukhali Upazila of Faridpur.
Sources in the case report said that on June 12, 2020, around 8:30 am, Nazmul took his younger brother Tamjid Mollah (14) to the local Rajdharpur market to see a doctor. After that, elder brother Nazmul returned home leaving Tamjid at around 10:30 am. When the people of the house asked Nazmul about the whereabouts of his younger brother, he continued to talk incoherently. Later, during the questioning of the relatives, he told everyone that he had strangled his younger brother and left him near Kalidas’s jute field in South Charbagat. Nazmul’s father said in this incident that day. Ahid Mollah sued Nazmul as the plaintiff.
On September 24, 2020, Sub-Inspector (SI) Tota Mia Nazmul of Madhukhali police station was investigated and submitted the charge sheet to the court.
In this regard, the counsel of the state side, Nawab Ali Mridha, said that the murder of a brother by a brother is a very heartbreaking incident. The rule of law has been established in the judgment of this case. As a result, criminals will not have a chance to get away with crime and crime will decrease in the society.
