The turn to shine has come for those from La Laguna who play volleyball. This Thursday, the call for the First Volleyball Cup organized by El Siglo de Torreón was officially announced, to be played during the weekend of Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14.

The First Volleyball Cup of El Siglo de Torreón, presented by Torneos 360°, will be played on July 13 and 14, on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m., on the courts of the Oriente Multisports and the La Jabonera Cultural and Sports Complex; One venue will be exclusively for the women’s branch and the other, for the men’s, until the semifinals of both branches, which will be moved, along with the finals, exclusively to Jabonera. Each team will make a list of its players, who cannot be changed or substituted, once the registration deadline arrives, which will be Tuesday, July 9, or when the quota is full, the limit of which is 20 teams for each team. branch; The teams will be made up of a maximum of 12 players, on the registration form.

There will be 4 groups of 5 teams each, which will be assigned by draw. The group stage matches will be played to a single set of 42 points, with a change of court at 21 points, this set will be defined without the need for a difference of 2 points, that is, it dies at 42. From the stage of semi-finals, a normal match will be played, with 2 sets of 25 points, if there is a third set, it will be played with 15 points, with a mandatory difference of 2. Players must wear, at least, a shirt of the same color as the rest of their team.

The participation of the libero player may be per match, another libero may be defined in the next match; To be able to play in the quarterfinals, semifinals and final, the player must have participated in at least one match in the initial phase. Referees affiliated with the Mexican Volleyball Federation (FMVB) will be appointed for greater quality of the event, which will be played in the Free category, that is, without age restrictions, in both branches. The champion teams of both branches will be awarded 15 thousand pesos in cash.while the runners-up will win 5 thousand pesos, subject to there being a minimum of 15 teams registered in each branch, the Best Player and Best Player of the tournament will also be awarded.
