El Salvador registers a new day without homicides

Several streets in the center of the El Paisnal district, north of San Salvador, have been recovered and handed over to the population, thanks to the vision of the Government in coordination with the Municipal Works Directorate.

Some 7,500 inhabitants have benefited from the recovery of roads, which involved removing debris, leveling and compacting soil, and thus obtaining a final job of excellent quality. The streets, which now have an impeccable surface, were renovated with asphalt mix and hydraulic concrete.

In the first case, 406 linear meters that comprise streets 1 and 3 were rebuilt; the street that connects with the school, the street that goes to the Peace Court, Los Gallardos Street and the street to the Cable Car, using asphalt mix. In addition, 460 linear meters of surface were changed with hydraulic concrete, which made it possible to renew the main street of the El Paisnal district, as well as its access to cantons and hamlets.

These streets, which were handed over on this day, used to be full of large holes that accumulated water, which not only damaged vehicles but also the health of the population, by becoming breeding grounds for mosquitoes, including the dengue transmitter Aedes aegypti.

This is the first project that the DOM carries out in El Paisnal. The second started on January 11 of this year, with which 1.5 linear kilometers of cobblestone surface will be renewed and will cover El Calvario Street in front of the 1ro School Center. of July 1823 and Dimas Rodríguez Street, roads located in the El Calvario and San José neighborhoods.

The progress to date is 200 meters and in general, if necessary

sario, these sections will be restored or improved with hydraulic works with curbs and speed bumps.

In that sense, the DOM asked the population of El Paisnal and especially the intervened areas, for the necessary patience while its field personnel advance in those passages and place the paving stones in 15 blocks.

As in El Paisnal, the DOM works on road recovery in the 19 districts of the department of San Salvador. With these works, the Government of President Nayib Bukele is not only improving the roads of El Paisnal, but is also changing the living conditions of current and future generations, promoting commerce, the economy and tourism.
