The Eiffel Tower, one of the world’s most popular tourist attractions, has come to a standstill due to the workers’ strike. This monument located in Paris, the capital of France, is closed for the second day in a row.

SETE is responsible for managing the Eiffel Tower. According to their website, there will be difficulties in traveling there on Tuesday as well.

Ticket holders have been asked to check the website as well as postpone travel. Moreover, e-ticket holders are asked to check their emails for additional information.

This is the second such strike in the last two months by visitors to the Eiffel Tower due to the same reason. A union criticized SETE’s business model.

About 7 million people visit the Eiffel Tower every year, which is three-quarters of the country’s total foreign tourists.

Due to the closure of everything during the Corona pandemic, the number of tourists has decreased drastically. Although the number of tourists in 2022 stands at about 6 million. Last year 6.3 million people went to see the Eiffel Tower.

France is hosting the Summer Olympics this year. Hence it is expected to increase the number of travelers to the country.
