On Wednesday, Efteling placed additional obstacles between the parking lot and the main entrance. Kaatsheuvel amusement park does this the day after a man drove his car to the checkout.

On Tuesday the 25-year-old man drove to the Efteling entrance at a very low speed. There are poles to prevent this, but due to the low speed the driver managed to maneuver between them.

From the saliva test it emerged that the man was under the influence of narcotics. According to a police spokesperson, there were no malicious intentions behind the action and the driver was confused. The police filed a complaint against the man.

On Wednesday, Efteling placed concrete blocks, a boulder and additional poles to prevent cars from reaching the entrance. This is a temporary solution. The amusement park does not see the incident as a cause for panic, but has taken measures to make visitors feel safe during their visit.

“It should be a fun, light-hearted day. This was a false alarm, but we are erring on the side of caution,” a spokesperson said. Brabant Radio Know.
