Businessmen promote the creation of an Economic Development Council through which there is an information link between investors and the local industry, so that there is a flow of information and, in the case of builders, they can have participation in private work, which means 80% of what is generated in the country.
The builders had a working meeting this Thursday with Mayor Román Cepeda, as well as the Director of Economic Development of the Municipality, Jorge Willy; and the head of Public Works, Juan Adolfo von Bertrab.
Regarding the proposal, the mayor expressed his willingness and asked the director of Economic Development to reach agreements in this regard with businessmen.
Donato Gutiérrez, president of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) Laguna, explained that the infrastructure project plan for the second half of the year was reviewed and the agreements that have been signed since the beginning of the year were monitored. the administration, such as 4 al Millar and treated water.
Regarding the first, he said that in these two years nearly one million pesos have been withheld and half went to the DIF in a social work that the builders have, the rest to the training of affiliated companies. Regarding treated water, he said that a volume is donated that is already being reused by the authorities.
Gutiérrez said that currently 70% of the members participate in the Municipality’s works.
It is worth mentioning that the initiative to promote industrial and economic development in the region through the creation of the La Laguna Industrial Development Council was presented by the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) to the state government, but it has not been echoed.
The CDIL would be a plural, transparent and decentralized body of the state government that would have the purpose of promoting the industrial and economic development of La Laguna, taking advantage of its potential for growth, innovation and attraction of high-value investments.
