In the long term, electricity supply for the peak season is still stressful. Because, transitional renewable power sources are deadlocked and official prices have not yet been negotiated; New power source projects that want to be implemented also have no basis, due to the slow promulgation of the implementation plan of Power Planning VIII.
Mr. Bui Quoc Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Electricity and Renewable Energy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), said that this planning is of interest to many industry levels at home and abroad, with many opinions in the process of construction and completion. to have a comprehensive, feasible plan, with the highest goal of ensuring electricity supply for socio-economic development.
Therefore, he hopes investors will sympathize because there are many difficulties and problems.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has made great efforts to complete the implementation plan of Electricity Planning VIII on schedule. However, the implementation process of 17 localities submitting a list of proposed renewable energy projects is much slower than the time required by the Government. Therefore, in the first round of approval, the ministry has not temporarily reviewed and synthesized the content of the project lists of these localities, Mr. Hung explained.
After reviewing the legality and criteria of projects provided by the locality, the Ministry of Industry and Trade completes the list and proposes it to the Prime Minister for approval, in accordance with the scale of renewable energy power source capacity. allocated.
For localities that have not yet completed the list, the Ministry has requested them to quickly deploy and complete it to verify and evaluate the legality. After that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will submit it to the Prime Minister for approval next time.
