Durango managed to win the Bronze medal in Women’s U-18 Recurve team, within Archery at the CONADE 2024 National Games.
The competition was held at the Revolución de la Perla Tapatia Sports Unit, where there have already been three days of arduous competition.
The Durango team made up of Ailani Alejandra Aragón Sánchez, Mariana Paola Cruz Rodríguez and Andrea Anaid García Ríos, after beating Nuevo León in the quarterfinals, advanced to the semifinal against Quintana Roo, against whom they fell, so they had to face each other before the hosts of Jalisco for the bronze metal.
Already against the Guadalajara team, those trained by Eduardo Soto and Aarón Alvarado Vela, they had to improve their arrows with each shot, which is why they managed to take third place in the tiebreaker, where the Durango shooters placed their best arrows.
For their part, the men participated in the team round also in the U-18 category where they remained in the quarterfinals, an eliminatory in which they faced Sonora, Jalisco and Yucatán.
Tomorrow the competitions will continue in the Olympic round, where the Durango delegation still has possibilities with the medalist Mariana Cruz.
