Durango boasts first place in the country in industrial growth

Durango grew 14.57 percent in industrial activity, which places it at the head of the states in the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity by Federal Entity (IMAIEF) of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

Statistics show that Durango grew 17.3 percent in industrial activity compared to March 2023, growth that has a favorable impact on the state, and therefore, will be reflected in a better economy for Durango families, according to the state government.

Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal stated that today the entity appears on national maps: “Media and companies are already looking for us to see what is happening in the state,” he said.

According to information published by Inegi, the increase compared to that registered in February 2024 places the entity above the rest of the states in the country in relation to said indicator.

“What are we doing? First, we have to believe in ourselves, and that is up to all of us. Durango can be a power not only in Mexico, but also in the world. We have to inject that into the youth, into the people, with hope, and if we continue like this, we will achieve great things, highlighting the efforts of everyone to advance in opportunities and job creation,” said Villegas.

Additionally, he announced that interesting things are also coming to La Laguna that will mark its history, since there are agreements with large companies that will favor employment in the region, in turn, opportunities will be expanded in the different sectors, a path that is being followed in the right direction and that already shows the progress that Durango has made in its economic activity.
