During a search conducted by police teams at the Vocational School canteen on the Elazığ Fırat University campus, drugs and precision scales were seized, while 2 suspects were detained. One of the suspects, who was referred to the courthouse, was arrested for the crime of ‘Drug Trafficking’ and sent to prison.
According to the information received, the efforts to combat drugs are continuing under the coordination of the Elazığ Republic Chief Prosecutor’s Office by the Provincial Police Department Narcotics Crimes Department teams. In this context, searches were conducted at the residences of suspects who were determined to be involved in drug trafficking and at the Vocational School canteen they were operating within the Fırat University campus. During the search, 29.86 grams of methamphetamine in 6 pieces, 1.48 grams of cannabis, 5 glass devices used in smoking drugs, 1 precision scale and 19 thousand TL, which was considered to be obtained from drug trafficking, were seized.
One of the two suspects who were detained and sent to court for the crime of ‘Drug Trafficking’ after their procedures were completed was given a judicial control decision, while the other suspect was arrested. – ELAZIĞ
