The arrival of 2024 in Florianópolis was celebrated in style, with drones shining in the Santa Catarina sky and a show by national singer Alexandre Pires.

The sky of Florianópolis took on a different color thanks to 300 drones that helped project images onto a curtain of water and surprised the public with a breathtaking view.
The audience witnessed the performance of a “Floripa Happy 2024” composed of equipment in the air and the projection of symbols such as the dove of peace.

“I thought it was sensational, it exceeded expectations. I had seen some videos, but it’s much nicer in person. It was worth coming,” said Guilherme Silveira, 32, who came from Porto Alegre with his girlfriend Fabiane Micca, 27, especially to see the show in Florianópolis.
According to the capital’s municipality, the estimate is that 400 thousand people would be present on the two stages set up, Beira-Mar Norte and Beira-Mar Continental.
Alexandre Pires and the ‘Baile do Nêgo Véio 2’
‘Baile do Nêgo Véio 2′, this is the name of Alexandre Pires’ show, opened the artist’s evening with the song ‘Caçamba’, a hit by the group Molejo.
Alexandre also sang the songs ‘Sai da Frente, ‘Final Feliz’, ‘Mal Suast’, ‘Lá Vem o Negão’.

Josiara Cruz, 38, is from Porto Alegre and 20 years ago decided to live in Florianópolis and this New Year’s Eve brought her mother, Marilene Vieira, 75, to watch the program.
“They gave the image that it would be peaceful, safe and that’s why we came and I brought my mother, who is almost 80 years old. I really like Alexandre Pires and I also came to see the show and I love it!”
