Drone shows simulate the history of the Marinids

The Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication continues its initiative aimed at restoring the reputation of Moroccan historical monuments and taking the public on a journey through the scent of civilizations that have succeeded one another in the Kingdom over the centuries and left their mark on its history.

The Ministry announced the return of the historical “Nostalgia” shows; but this time in a new creative way, as “drones” will be used to present light panels that will decorate the sky of the capital, Rabat, during the period extending from September 12 to 15, simulating the history of the Merinids at the Chellah archaeological site.

These drones will provide a historical overview of the Chellah site, showcasing the most important stages of this historic city. The shows will also include musical performances by Moroccan singer Nabila Maan and her band, who will take the audience on a journey in a unique cultural symphony.

The “Nostalgia” shows constitute a cultural event that aims to introduce the civilizations that inhabited Moroccan archaeological sites over the past centuries, and provide an enjoyable journey into the depths of Moroccan history to explore the cultural heritage that Morocco abounds with and restore its prestige.

Theater director Amin Nassour stated that this huge project is one of the major projects of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Culture Sector, under the personal supervision of Minister Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, noting that the latter is the one who came up with the idea of ​​the project, which falls within the framework of restoring the status of Moroccan historical monuments.

Nassour added, in a statement to Hespress, that this initiative restores the historical monuments and at the same time introduces the visitor and the national youth in the first place, and also the tourists who flock to these cities and monuments, to the history and civilization of the Kingdom of Morocco or part of this history.
