Partnership for green mobility: Vienna’s folding bike manufacturer VELLO BIKE and the ÖBB are committed to sustainable transport in Austria.
Vienna (OTS) – Sustainable mobility is trending and the variety of available means of transport is becoming increasingly important. The Austrian folding bike manufacturer VELLO and ÖBB have announced a partnership that offers travelers more freedom in the area of multimodal mobility. The “Rocky” model is now available in the ÖBB fan shop with ÖBB branding and can be carried on the trains free of charge.

The folded VELLO folding bike is considered a regular piece of luggage and therefore makes a separate bike reservation unnecessary. This simplifies the booking process and makes the trip more spontaneous and even less complicated.

Folded VELLO folding bikes can be taken along free of charge on all local and regional trains as well as in designated areas of ÖBB-Railjet trains. This space saving ensures a comfortable journey without affecting the limited space on the train.

After getting off the train, the VELLO folding bike becomes the ideal climate-friendly solution for the last mile. Whether you’re going to work, home or after work, the folding bike offers autonomy, flexibility and mobility everywhere.
Funding for climate ticket holders
Holders of a climate ticket can have the purchase of a VELLO folding bike supported with up to 500 euros gross. Online submission possible from April 3, 2024 at www.umweltfoerderung.at.
