Don’t want to be on the Hooray Team at the 2024 Paris Olympics

JAKARTA – Indonesian mixed doubles, Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari, will perform optimally at the 2024 Paris Olympics. They are determined not to just decorate the drawing.

As is known, Rinov/Pitha have been confirmed to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics, according to mathematical calculations. They are the only Indonesian mixed doubles representatives who will appear at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

However, Rinov/Pitha was doubted by many parties because their performances often fluctuated. Even in the ranking for the race to the Olympics, they are in the lower position compared to the other qualifying participants.

However, Rinov/Pitha did not lose heart. They are actually ready to fight and are determined to perform optimally and don’t just want to be decorations for drawings.

“Yes, in general we are not the favorites, but we also don’t want to just be decorations for drawings there,” said Rinov to MNC Portal Indonesia, Thursday (25/4/2024).

“So we will try to go all out there. There may not be any targets, but we will give the best there,” he added.

“Yes, maybe the target is to play until the last day,” continued Pitha.

Rinov/Pitha qualified for Paris 2024 after completing tight competition with several pairs until the last tournament. Now, they are ranked 15th in the race to the Olympics with 55,193 points.
