Work continues on the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, as part of preparing a group of national stadiums to be ready to host the matches of the next edition of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
In this regard, Karim Klaybi, a member of the leadership and tracking committee of the Mohammed V sports complex, said in a statement exclusively to Hesport: “Works are continuing on Donor at a rapid pace, and include all facilities concerned with repairs.”
The same source added: “All officials are monitoring the progress of the works on a regular basis.” “It is expected that the boat will be ready on the specified date in the best condition,” noting that the works are being carried out in accordance with the standards adopted by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) and the African Confederation (CAF).
Nabila Rmeili, President of the Casablanca Council, revealed weeks ago the fate of the equipment and chairs that were furnishing the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, which is currently being rehabilitated, to be ready to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Al-Rumaili said, on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the Casablanca Council, that the Mohammed V Stadium has been evacuated of all equipment, fixtures and chairs, and that they will be distributed to nearby stadiums in the city’s districts to benefit from them.
The 40,000 chairs that furnished the stands of Donor Stadium, as well as other toilet equipment, along with doors, cameras, and air conditioners, were distributed to nearby stadiums within the city, as needed.
