Donald Trump says cartels can ‘take down the president in two minutes’

Former President Donald Trump and Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance were interviewed about the fight against cartels in Mexico in recent days.

Donald Trump was very clear in stating that if he wins a second term, he will attack the cartels in Mexico, even though the country has established itself as the United States’ main commercial ally.

He said Mexico will have to act immediately or the response will be to attack the cartels directly “absolutely.”

He accused the United States of killing 300,000 people every year with the fentanyl that enters the country, and added, “China will have to do what it has to do, just as it had an agreement with President Xi Jinping, but Biden never took it.”

The supposed agreement, Trump said, was that China would give the death penalty to anyone who sent fentanyl, but they did not apply it “because no one on our side forced it.”

He said he would give Mexico “little time” to monitor the border, saying “it won’t go well for them” and “that’s when the action will start.”

He reiterated that the cartels are “killing” 300 thousand people and even if they do not kill people, they destroy families, referring to addictions among the American population.

Trump reiterated that Mexico is “petrified” by the cartels, since they could remove a president in two minutes; reiterating that “the cartels control Mexico.”

He concluded by mentioning the relationship he had with President López Obrador, clarifying that in order to impose the “Stay in Mexico” policy for To stop immigration crossings, he had to threaten the federal government with imposing tariffs “on their cars and everything they sell us.”. After which the López Obrador government agreed and accepted the “Remain in Mexico” policy.

For his part, President López Obrador showed the letter he sent to former President Donald Trump after his speech at the Republican Party Convention.

“Closing the border would be equivalent to calling for a rebellion on both sides of the border, due to the damage it would cause to towns, industry and commerce.”

He argued that the southern border states of the United States and those of northern Mexico represent the “fourth largest economy in the world.”

He also asked him not to “send him to La Chingada before his time,” after the former president made a mistake and said that he was no longer the leader of Mexico.
