Otaola and Trump Supporters Rally Outside Miami Courthouse
Thousands Express Support for Former President Amidst Political Charges
The former President of the United States, Donald Trump, made an appearance in court in Miami as thousands of his supporters gathered on the outskirts, holding a peaceful demonstration in solidarity against what they perceive as a “political witch hunt” targeting the Republican politician.
Responding to a call from Cuban influencer, Alex Otaola, supporters of the Republican tycoon joined together in Miami to express their unwavering support for the former US president.
Clad in hats, shirts, and waving flags that bear the slogan “Trump 2024”, Trump supporters took their positions outside the Miami courthouse, protesting the charges brought against the former president.
“We stand by President Donald Trump and we are here to ensure the preservation of the separation of powers in the United States. This is undeniably a politically driven hunt, an attempt to undermine President Trump’s eligibility to run in the upcoming elections,” said Otaola during one of his speeches amidst the peaceful protest.
It is important to note that Donald Trump appeared before a court in Miami on Tuesday to address charges related to mishandling classified government documents. He is the first president of the United States to be indicted by a federal grand jury.
The security around the courthouse where Trump made his appearance was tightened due to the severity of the charges. Trump is facing more than 30 indictments for illegally withholding classified documents upon leaving the White House in 2021 and obstructing efforts to recover them.
Prior to his court appearance, Trump shared a message on his social network, Truth, stating that this Tuesday “marks one of the darkest days in our country’s history.”
