Dog who was almost killed today starts a new life

Even though she suffered animal abuse and was almost killed, the story of the dog Libertad had a happy ending.

She was put up for adoption after she satisfactorily recovered from her injuries at the Animal Control Center in the municipality of León.

“The truth is, take good care of her, have everything in order so that she is well, so that she has a good home and lives in peace. Apart from eating, affection, love, company, everything you need”

Just last Saturday, three minors threw her into a five-meter-deep sewer and tried to kill her. Unable to achieve her goal, she was left abandoned for three days.

It was the rescuer Marcos Aguilera who received a report and came to save his life.

“And it is a happy ending because my heart beats that someone is going to take her away and that she will no longer have any more suffering, that she will no longer have any more pain. Today you are going to sleep with a nice family, right ma’am,” she commented.

In a festive atmosphere, Libertad took time to meet her new humans, as well as greet and thank the person who saved her life.

This dog, one and a half years old, was placed with a chip to monitor her, and all the veterinary care she requires throughout her life will be free.

“He still has a long life expectancy and obviously, now that he has reached a place where he is given affection and the love that Libertad required, he will improve in many aspects,” explained Emmanuel Rodríguez, director of the León Animal Control Center.

Regarding the aggressors, an exemplary punishment is expected since there is already a complaint before the public ministry for animal abuse.
