ADD: Doda Youth Services & Sports Department Doda The much awaited district level organized by Inter-zonal tournaments, Sports is in full swing at the sports stadium Doda. Organised under the directions of YSS J&K Director Subhash Chandra Chhibber and guidance of Joint Director Jammu Ved Prakash, the event is being supervised by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Sunil Kumar. The tournament witnessed a remarkable attendance showcasing the enthusiasm and competitive spirit of the young athletes from across the district.
On the second day of the tournament, the stadium was abuzz with excitement as students from ten different areas of district Doda participated in various sports. 360 girls participated with enthusiasm in competitions like Kabaddi, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess and Taekwondo. Such events were attended by a large number of people, underlining the importance of such events in promoting sports culture and fostering healthy competition among young athletes.
The tournament schedule is packed with 23 different sports, giving the participants a variety of opportunities to showcase their skills. All zones including Assar, Bhalla, Bhaderwah, Doda, Ghat, Gundna, Bhalesha, Thathri, Bhatyas and Bhagwah are vying for glory. On the second day, the girls U-17 Volleyball final saw Bhaderwah win over Gundna by a score of 2-1, while Zone Doda performed brilliantly in Kabaddi, adding to the excitement and competitive spirit of the event. The district level inter-zonal tournament serves as an important platform for athletes to showcase their talent and compete with peers from different zones.
