Mohamed Ozin, Secretary-General of the Popular Movement Party, received on Wednesday at the party’s central headquarters, in the presence of Mohand Al-Enare, head of the party, and Mohamed Lahmouche, member of the Political Bureau, a delegation of leaders in Libyan political parties.
The Libyan delegation included Naji Barakat, from the Coordination of Parties, Khaled Al-Ghawil, from the Peace and Prosperity Party, Fathi Benkhalifa, from the Lipo Party, Mohamed Saad, from the Civil Democratic Party, and Ali Tarhouni, from the National Center Movement Party, along with Fawzi Abdel-Al, About the national movement.
This meeting, which comes within the framework of activating parallel partisan diplomacy and consistent with the diplomatic vision whose strategic features were drawn up by King Mohammed VI, also attended, on the Libyan side, legal advisor Kamal Hudhaifa.
During this qualitative meeting, the humanitarian, historical, linguistic, cultural and civilizational components that unite the Moroccan and Libyan peoples were reviewed, which were not affected and will not be affected by the fluctuations and choices of the previous Libyan regime, especially in the field of the legitimate rights of the Kingdom of Morocco in its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
The date also constituted an opportunity to confirm the qualitative positions and efforts of Morocco, the king, government and people, with positive neutrality, to support the Libyan people to overcome their internal crisis and preserve their unity and sovereignty, which are the efforts that culminated in the historic Skhirat Agreement since 2015 and the accompanying Moroccan diplomatic efforts and dynamics to fortify and achieve these legitimate goals for the state of Libya and its people. In the context of this joint strategic vision, the meeting discussed ways to contribute to building and deepening the foundations of joint cooperation between political parties and civil society in the two brotherly countries, in the service of implementing the unified and shared Maghreb dream on the basis of respect for the unity and sovereignty of the countries of the Union, and recalling the common history and unified identity in its diversity, The challenges, constraints, and stakes presented politically, economically, socially, and culturally before a harmonious Maghreb bloc capable of strategic positioning and influence in the new world.
