The first day of the “Les Grands Élites” tournament, organized by the Disciples FC club, kept all its promises this Tuesday in Antsirabe. This mini-championship in the “pool of Aces” format brings together four high-level teams: Disciples FC, Fosa Juniors FC, COSFA and AS Valahara. Initially planned with the CFFA, the set was modified at the last minute. In the midst of an internal re-organization before the 2025/2026 PFL season, the capital club preferred to withdraw from the event from December 9 to 13. The organizers then chose to call on AS Valahara, reigning champion of the Vakinankaratra League, in order to maintain four teams and promote regional clubs.
On the pitch, the favorites assumed their status. At home, Disciples FC dominated COSFA 2-0 thanks to collective control and two goals in the second half. In the other match, Fosa Juniors got the better of AS Valahara with a score of 3 goals to 2. Thursday, the second day promises to be decisive, AS Valahara will try to revive against Disciples FC, while COSFA will challenge Fosa Juniors.
