Slovak tennis player Dominika Cibulková (35) is living every mother’s nightmare. Her son Jakub (3) had an accident on the playground and seriously injured his hand after falling from the climbing frame. He was subsequently taken to hospital, where he is now recovering from surgery. However, the winner of the tournament of champions has a real fighter at home.
“Our last few days went something like this. Sad, scared and tired,” wrote Cibulková to the photo, in which her son is lying with his arm wrapped around him. “Jakubko fell off the climbing frame and we knew right away that it was bad. The hand was deformed and the crying was endless,” continued the former Slovak tennis player.
“They had to operate on him in the hospital, but luckily we avoided the wires. I’m announcing that we have a little/big hero at home who did great and was very brave. Definitely more than his mom, who had to be calmed by the doctor more than the injured person,” Cibulková rested, who, in addition to Jakub, also has a daughter, Nina. She gave birth to this last year.
“I would like to thank the medical team at the children’s hospital, who were perfect and took excellent care of Jakub and us. Every evening we pray together for the health of our family and also for the health of all the children in the world.” admitted the finalist of the Australian Open, who has both children with her husband Michal Navara.
“Yesterday, Jakub asked me in the little room if these are the children we are praying for and that we will need more. He’s just a sweetheart,” gushed at the end of the post the proud mother, who even made themed slippers for her stay in the hospital.
After being transported to the hospital, Jakub was really scared
