With a night of 17 hits, three of them home runs, with Julián Ornelas producing four runs, the Diablos Rojos del México closed their tour through the north of the country with an 11-4 victory over the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna, in the third confrontation game held at the Revolución Stadium.

Ornelas, Robinson Canó and José Rondón blew the wall to drive in six of the 11 runs for the capital team, who for the tenth time this season reached double digits in runs in a game. With this result, the Reds have won 15 of the 17 series they have had, with one tie and one loss.

Julián went 4 for 5 with four RBIs (to reach 42 for the campaign) and two runs scored, Canó also finished the day 4 for 5 with three hits and two teammates sent to the plate and Rondón wrote a 4-1 night with three productions.

Along with the work of the red offense, which built a rally of four in the sixth, three in the second and two in the eighth, the scarlet pitching saw starter Ronnie Williams pitch for 6.0 innings, in which he admitted five hits and four runs, with one walk and three strikeouts, to go 2-0 with a 5.26 ERA.

After Williams, three relievers appeared who did not allow a hit or run in the last three innings of the game: Conner Menez, Alex Claudio and Rafael Córdova. The losing pitcher was Braden Webb (4-5).

With a 3-2 mark on the tour of Saltillo and Torreón, the Red Devils return home to start a three-game series against the Campeche Pirates on Tuesday, starting the first duel at 7 p.m. The Reds’ likely starting pitcher is left-hander Steven Moyers.
