Punjab Kings skipper Shikhar Dhawan left IPL for at least a week. He will not be able to play due to a shoulder injury. Dhawan may even be out for more than a week.
Punjab coach Sanjay Bagar confirmed this after the loss against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. He said that Dhawan is going out of the game for several days. He may have to stay out of the field for at least 7-10 days.
Dhawan will not be able to play two matches of IPL due to injury. He will not be able to be in the team against Mumbai Indians on April 18 and Gujarat Titans on April 21.
The Punjab coach said, ‘He has a shoulder injury. So is likely to be out for at least a few days. An experienced opener like Shikhar, who has experience playing on such a wicket; It’s very important to have someone like that on the team.’
He added, ‘We have to wait and see how Dhawan responds to the treatment. Right now it looks like he may be out of work for at least seven to ten days.’
Dhawan did not come down to toss against Rajasthan yesterday. Sam Curren came to toss instead.
