The descendants of Mandela, Gandhi and Che Guevara will be in Santiago within the framework of a meeting organized by the Academy of Christian Humanism University.
This is the “Cultural Meeting of World Leaders for Peace”, an event organized especially for the university community, social activists and citizens in general, which will feature the participation of Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela, grandson of former president Nelson Mandela; Aleida Guevara, eldest daughter of Ernesto “Che” Guevara; and Tushar A. Gandhi, great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi.
These three continuers of the legacy of international leaders, recognized for their commitment to peace and social justice, are ambassadors of the Global Campaign for the Return to Palestine.
They will share their experiences and perspectives in a meeting for the community and the general public, where historical milestones such as the fight against apartheid, the defense of human rights and the application of the philosophy of non-violence in conflict resolution will be reviewed. within the framework of an open debate on how to build a better future for all.
About the speakers, Nkosi Zwelivelile Mandela is a member of the South African Parliament for the African National Congress and a renowned anti-Apartheid activist. Meanwhile, Aleida Guevara is a pediatrician, writer and documentary filmmaker who has done volunteer work around the world and promoted women’s rights. Tushar A. Gandhi, for his part, is a lawyer and fervent defender of Indian human rights based on improvements in agricultural management and food.
