The Ministry of the Environment, Water and Ecological Transition (Maate) donated a collection of 921 constituent elements of wildlife (insects) to the LOUNAZ Zoology Museum of the National University of Loja. The delivery of the custody record was carried out by the Zonal 7 director of the State portfolio, Félix Romero, to the director of the Museum of Zoology, Aura Paucar.
The entomological collection of these insects, collected in various sites in the province of Loja, will serve as teaching material for students and as a source of research and exchange of knowledge with other wildlife management centers, “this contribution we make to the Academy , will strengthen the knowledge of future professionals and researchers in the south of the country,” the official mentioned.
For her part, Aura Paucar, owner of the Zoology Museum of the National University of Loja, thanked the Maate, “this collection will be available for environmental education in educational centers in our province.”
The insects are stuffed and kept in wooden boxes protected with glass protection. (YO)
