Deepika Padukone first Indian to find a place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

Deepika Padukone has been included in the list of 2026 Hollywood Walk of Fame Class and is the first Indian to receive the award.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday released a list of 35 prominent figures from the world of Motion Pictures, Television, Live Theater, Recording and Sports Entertainment, who will be included in the Walk of Fame.

Deepika’s name is included in the ‘Motion Pictures’ category, where she is accompanied by actress and filmmaker Emily Blent, Timothy Shelmi, Chris Columbus, Marvin Kotyar and Demi Moore.

The list also includes the names of Milli Cyrus, Jash Grubin, Sara Michelle Galler, Basketball Star Shakeel and Neil and Chef Gordon Ramzee.

Peter Roth, chairman of the Walk of Fame Selection Committee and former CEO of Warner Brothers Television, said, “We are happy with the announcement of 35 prominent figures elected for the Walk of Fame Class of 2026.

“These talented people have served in the world of entertainment, and we are proud of this honorable honor.”

Hollywood Chamber of Commerce wrote on Instagram, ‘We are proud to welcome you to the 2026 Walk of Fame Class.’

In this regard, the dates for installing stars have not yet been determined. Selected personalities have to hold ceremonies within two years after receiving honors, otherwise the award may be canceled.

Padukone started his film career in 2006 with the Kannad film ‘Aishwarya’ and played the lead role against Shah Rukh Khan in the Bollywood film ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007.

The film was given this year’s highest grossing Hindi film Bani and Padukonko Filmfare Award.
