Decree to suppress the Federal Board leaves workers in a state of defenselessness: Labor Lawyers

From one day to the next, the Federal Conciliation and Arbitration Board number 42 in Torreón, which was located inside the Federal Palace, “disappeared”, so lawyers questioned what will happen to the more than 10 thousand matters pending resolution that They were kept in that office.

Enrique Rodríguez Caro, president of the Association of Labor Lawyers of La Laguna, pointed out that, in short, “the forms are not correct”, since a Board that has a heavy load of pending matters is eliminated, through a Decree “steamed”, without even notifying the defendants.

See details:

“Of course it leaves us in a state of defenselessness, since they just closed the doors and by the Decree we realize that the Board of Saltillo 27 will be competent, and with respect to the matters of the IMSS the of Monterrey, those of us who are going to take it are the litigants, particularly the workers and companies residing in this city, where now we are going to have to go to check the matters and process them in a city that is not close at all, we are Speaking of more than 250 kilometers, it will result in unnecessary expense,” he commented.

He pointed out that a very serious point is that the Decree does not establish what is going to happen with the matters that are already in execution or under protection, so there is a vacuum in this sense, so labor lawyers will review the way to express their dissatisfaction with this situation.

“That Decree happened from one day to the next, they didn’t even give us the opportunity to prepare,” said Rodríguez Caro, “all the files are gone, all 10,000, so how are they going to be processed? With what numbers are they going to be processed?” left? That is a void they leave us, and without reason, because here in Torreón there is better infrastructure and more files than in Saltillo, so the best decision, really logical and coherent, would have been to disappear Saltillo.

He explained that if the Federal Boards do not work as required by law, less so now, because the Saltillo Board will have the burden of the affairs of Durango and the affairs of La Laguna.

“You can imagine the chaos that is going to be created with this Decree that is in full swing, there is not even a liaison office left to know what is going to happen with the protection issues, how are we going to locate them, they closed the Board just like that Without saying water, they close it,” said the lawyer.
