Deadpool & Wolverine Surpasses $600 Million at North American Box Office

JAKARTA – Deadpool & Wolverine topped the North American box office during the Labor Day holiday. The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer added an estimated $15.2 million from 3,630 locations over the three-day Friday-Sunday run via Disney to now total $599.5 million.

The four-day estimate is $19.5 million, which would bring Deadpool & Wolverine to $603.8 million after six weekends. Meanwhile, 20th Century Studios’ Alien: Romulus in second place added $9.3 million from 3,120 locations in its second session for $88.8 million and is expected to add $11.5 million over the four-day for a total of $90.9 million.

According to Sreendaily, this is the sixth consecutive weekend in which The Walt Disney Studios films have taken first place, and the fifth in six weekends for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Pixar’s Inside Out 2, another Disney summer success story that ranks as the year’s biggest release in North America and international markets worldwide and the biggest animated release of all time in all three markets, earned $2.8 million from 2,660 theaters for $650.1 million in three days and $4 million in four days for $651.3 million.
