DANGER waiting for men who become fathers before the age of 25 – 2024-09-02 02:37:35 – 2024-09-02 02:37:36

Fatherhood has been found to have a negative impact on men’s heart health.

Publika.az reports that it was found that the heart health of those who have children is worse than that of men without children.

It is noted that cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death worldwide. In research on how having children affects women’s health, multiple births have been found to increase the risk of heart disease. On the other hand, comprehensive research on how having children affects men’s heart health is lacking.

One reason for this may be that having children has a direct physiological effect on women. However, US researchers, who stated that the health of fathers is also important for the overall health of the family, paid attention to this topic in their new research.

Using a long-term study called the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, the team examined data from 2,814 men of various ethnicities, ages 45 to 84. 82 percent of the participants were fathers.

The study, published in the journal AJPM Focus, assessed participants’ diet, exercise habits and smoking status, as well as body mass index, blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Thus, scientists have determined that the heart health of fathers is worse than that of childless men.

It is understood that fathers who have children before the age of 25 are in a worse situation. But this was especially true for black and Hispanic men.

Researchers think this may be due to fatherhood being an obstacle to a healthy life.

One of the authors of the article, Dr. John James Parker said:

“Disparities in heart health suggest that the added responsibility of childcare and the stress of transitioning to fatherhood make it harder for men to lead a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy and exercising.

Death rates for fathers before the age of 25 are also high. However, we can explain this with factors such as financial constraints, not being able to devote time to anything other than work, and the brain not “growing” enough. “Especially ethnic minorities working in lower paying jobs can be a significant factor in the results observed in this group.”

On the other hand, the study also revealed that fathers are less likely to die from any cause than childless men. This is associated with the fact that they receive more support from the environment and have children who can take care of them as they grow older.

Also, fathers have less depressive symptoms than non-fathers. It also shows that mental health helps reduce death rates in fathers.

The results of the study do not provide a direct cause-and-effect relationship. The researchers say that more work needs to be done in this area.
