Indian actress Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of Babita Phogat in Bollywood star Aamir Khan’s 2016 film Dangal, passed away at the age of 19 on Saturday morning.
According to the Indian newspaper Times of India, Suhani had been ill for some time and was being treated at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
The newspaper reported, citing Indian media, that Sohani was hospitalized due to a drug reaction. She was suffering from water retention disorder which was being treated for some time.
Actor Aamir Khan has paid tribute to the actress in his X post. He wrote that ‘We were deeply saddened to hear the news of Suhani’s death. Our heartfelt condolences to his mother Poojaji and the entire family. Sahani was very talented and a team player. Dangal would not have been complete without his role.’

Sehani made her acting debut in 2016 with the film Dangal. Other actors in the film included Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Sania Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Zaira Wasim. The movie Dangal turned out to be a huge success.
The story of Dangal revolves around former wrestler Mahaveer Singh Phogat who, disregarding social norms, decides to train his daughters in kushi to win a gold medal for the country at the Commonwealth Games.
After initially being reluctant, the sisters eventually took interest in cricket and won medals for the country.

According to Economic Times.com, the sudden death of Sohani has come as a shock to both the film fraternity and the fans of the actress.
The news of his death came out on Saturday, sending shockwaves through the film industry and his fans. Sahani was reportedly struggling with health issues since a leg fracture some time ago. The drugs administered during his treatment reportedly caused adverse effects, resulting in dehydration.
Despite all the efforts of the doctors, there were no signs of improvement in his health and he passed away.
Before acting in Dangal, Sehani showcased her talent in various television commercials, but later quit acting temporarily to complete her education.
