The Dorner Ball – a great symbiosis of tradition and the momentum of our time.
Vienna (OTS) – Vienna February 12, 2024. The fact that the Dorner Ball is so well received is due to the existing tradition, the attention to detail and its incredible diversity. This is also how the lady of the house, Karin Lemberger, who is responsible for the concept, organization and choreography of the ball drive, outlines it: “Our guests come in their chic ball outfits and spend a lavish ball night with us at the Palais Ferstel. The guests range from young to old. Students from our dance school who have been attending the Dorner Ball for many years come to take part again every year. The many passionate dancers also appreciate our ball. This year too, our ball in the Palais Ferstel will be a very special mix of tradition and modernity. The Dorner Ball enjoys great popularity year after year.«
Harmony between tradition and modernity on March 16th in the Palais Ferstel
The Palais Ferstel in Vienna’s Herrengasse is considered one of the most important late works of romantic Viennese classicism, which now, with all its magnificent halls, represents the glamorous setting for our ball night. Whether in the large Ferstel hall, in the arcade courtyard or the grandiose side halls, the Dorner Ball has been taking place in the festival rooms of the Palais Ferstel since 1987. The combination of historical architecture and contemporary flair makes the ball an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
»This particularly beautiful location offers an elegant and stylish setting and of course our ball guests also have access to the well-known Café Central, which is popular not only with the Viennese. This results in a special combination of historical architecture and contemporary flair and makes our ball an unforgettable experience,” explains Karin Lemberger.
The 2024 ball program: a beautiful piece of tradition
This year too, the opening committee, whose participants all come from the Dorner Dance School, will open the 37th Dorner Ball at exactly 9 p.m. in classic black and white ball gowns. The musical opening will be accompanied by the Hans Gratz Orchestra. A musician who was already sitting at the piano at the age of five. Hans-Peter Gratz is a graduate of the Mozarteum Salzburg. He founded his own orchestra, which makes people sit up and take notice with its specially arranged pieces between traditional and new, gentle and lively interpretations. With his ensemble, Hans-Peter Gratz and his live band ensure a special musical atmosphere on the ball night.
If you like it a little more exuberant on the dance floor, you can look forward to the beat from DJ Werenskiold & friends. In the right picture, Snapify, the photo box, puts all those ball visitors with a snapshot, solo or in good company. Of course, the midnight quadrille, which is always a big crowd puller, should not be missed at twelve o’clock.
