A passenger who appeared to be drunk complained about the taxi being hot, even though the taxi was air-conditioned. When getting off the bus, this passenger attacked the taxi driver.
On April 6, Thang Loi Ward Police (Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak) said they had received a report and were verifying and clarifying the incident of a driver being assaulted by a passenger.
According to Mr. VMH (taxi driver), around 10:00 p.m. on April 4, he picked up 2 passengers at a pub on Tran Huu Duc Street (Buon Ma Thuot City) to go to a karaoke bar on Y Jut Street.

During the trip, the man sitting in the front passenger seat asked the driver to turn on the air conditioner because it was hot. At this time, Mr. H. explained that he had turned on the air conditioner beforehand and said that if he felt hot, he would open the window to get more air.
However, when the male driver just opened the window, the man thought he was paying for a taxi without turning on the air conditioner, so Mr. H. continued to roll up the window and continue moving.
Also according to Mr. H., when the car drove for a while, the passenger used his hand to hit the window. Before the incident, Mr. H. had questions, the guest said it was okay. Next, when Mr. H. stopped the car, the passenger suddenly kicked him, injuring him. The entire incident was recorded by the car’s camera.

When the car stopped, the passenger opened the door and used his foot to kick straight at the driver sitting in the car. After that, a man wearing Grab clothes intervened to stop the passenger from assaulting him.
