Feroze had a dispute with his wife Anju, a garment worker, on the suspicion of adultery. After seeing Crime Patrol, Feroze planned to take his wife to a bamboo garden in Ashulia and kill her. After the murder, he left the body in the bamboo garden with the eyes above it. Feroze was arrested by law and order forces despite using several strategies to keep the murder clueless. Later he admitted everything in the initial interrogation.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Dhaka District presented these facts in a press conference at Ashulia police station on Sunday (April 28). Abdullahil Kafi.
Earlier, he was arrested from Ashulia in a joint operation of RAB-4 and Ashulia police station on Saturday (April 27) night.
Arrested. Feroze alias Lal Mia (45) is the son of deceased Hakim Uddin of Rouha village of Manikganj’s Daulatpur police station. He lived with his wife Anju (32) in Kashimpur Bagbari area of Gazipur. Anju Khatun is the daughter of deceased Manowar Hossain of Ghagoa Union of Sadar Police Station of Gaibandha District. He worked as an operator in a garment factory of Ha-Meem Group in Ashulia.
According to the police, the body of Anju Khatun was recovered from a bamboo garden in Kathgara area of Ashulia on the morning of April 26. The police confirmed his identity from the ID card of the nearby workplace. Later, Thana police and RAB started shadow investigation. At one stage of the investigation, after finding out the link of the husband with the incident, the husband confessed everything when he was arrested.
During preliminary interrogation, Feroze told the police that he suspected that Anju Khatun was having an extramarital relationship with several people. This caused a dispute between the husband and wife. Later Feroze planned to kill his wife. Feroz took Anju out of the factory after talking to Anju through an old SIM. Besides, to keep himself hidden, he had left his mobile phone and SIM switched on in Manikganj. After the factory holiday, Kabiraj took his wife to the bamboo garden and hit him with a sly wrench. Later Anju ran away after smashing his face and gouging out his eyes. Sly left the wrench and the blood-stained cloth in a dustbin in Ashulia’s Jamgra area and left for Manikganj.
Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Abdullahil Kafi said that after the murder, the victim’s brother became the plaintiff and filed a case at Ashulia police station on April 27. With the help of RAB, we were able to arrest the accused within a few hours of filing the case. He confessed to the murder.
