From the 15th of this month, new laboratories in other provinces will also be implemented to carry out tests, in order to reinforce the only laboratory in the country installed in Luanda, with a capacity for 25 thousand tests.
From the end of this month, rapid Covid-19 tests will be carried out across the country.
The guarantee was given by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, when he was taking stock of the usual daily assessment of the epidemic in the country and assured that the Government continues to acquire supplies and ventilators to deal with Covid-19.
Luanda’s quarantine centers continue to lead the list in the number of people in quarantine with around 919 people, 441 of which are in institutional quarantine. Across the country there are a total of 1700 people.
It was also announced that positive cases with mild symptoms will now receive support in the current quarantine centers, while hospitals will pay greater attention to critical cases.
