One of the 41 covid-19 tests carried out at the Aníbal de Melo Press Center last week had a positive result, prompting the immediate closure of the site and the carrying out of a second wave of tests.
Communication professionals and other professionals from different areas highlighted at CIAM were subjected to the community screening test.
The Positive Case
The only positive case detected among the 41 tested last Monday (9), was reported today, by the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, This is a 45-year-old National Police agent, member of the deployed security team at CIAM.
According to the Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, citizens who work shifts, every three days, do not represent a danger to other visitors to the center, as they have been installed in a space with little contact.
On the other hand, the Minister stated that this case cannot yet be considered as a case of community contagion.
New Testing Wave
Due to the positive case detected, a new test will be carried out tomorrow, starting at 9 am, at Hospital Américo Boa Vida.
Communication professionals and all citizens who were at CIAM over the last week, as well as National Police agents, will be subjected to the test.
The country has so far registered 142 positive cases, of which 64 have recovered and six have died.
