An evaluation meeting was held under the presidency of Governor Zülkif Dağlı before the 13th Local Products Fair (YÖREX) to be held in Antalya between October 9-13, 2024. The work carried out for the fair was evaluated at the meeting attended by Mayor Dr. Halil İbrahim Aşkın, TSO President Çetin Başaranhıncal, Commodity Exchange President Naki Özkubat, and representatives of public institutions and non-governmental organizations.

Antalya 19 Platform also plans to organize various events at the fair. In this context, Çorum’s rich cuisine and local products will be introduced, and an e-catalog will be created that includes products with geographical indications and products with the potential to receive geographical indications from both provinces.

It is aimed to bring local products to the national and international economy.

Reminding that YÖREX, Turkey’s first local products fair, will open its doors to visitors for the 13th time, Governor Dağlı stated that Çorum will also take its place in the fair with its local products.

Drawing attention to the importance of YÖREX in terms of introducing local products, Governor Dağlı said, “The fair is very important in terms of introducing the local products, local colors and cultural elements of our 81 provinces in the national and international arena and also adding them to the economy. On this occasion, meetings and connections are provided for local products to enter national markets and e-commerce portals. We have 19 registered products. Applications were made for the registration of 39 local products. The registration of our products also contributes greatly to Çorum’s cultural heritage and the access of local flavors to wider audiences. We will find the opportunity and chance to exhibit the beauties of Çorum in Antalya. We will show the unique beauties of our ancient city, which has hosted different civilizations, to the whole world from Antalya, which is Turkey’s window opening to the world.”

Stating that local products could be sold at the fair, Governor Dağlı added that other local products of Çorum would also be promoted at the fair. – ÇORUM
