“The Constitutional Court is still running, we will continue to pay attention, so that the ongoing MK trial can run smoothly according to all of our hopes, we will continue to focus,” said Hadi at his office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, Thursday (18/4 /2024).
The former TNI Commander also ensured that the door to demonstrations for people who wanted to voice their opinions would continue to be opened. The government, he said, would still respect people’s opinions as a democratic right.
“That’s a right, a democratic right, we respect it, but we will also listen to what they have to say, but we have to ensure that this trial continues, yes, I think that’s normal,” he continued.
When asked about special preparations for the Constitutional Court decision hearing, Hadi answered that each activity had its own mitigation. He added that what is clear is that the government will continue to accommodate the action plans of every citizen so that the implementation of voicing opinions can run safely and peacefully.
“If it’s an activity, we definitely have mitigation, yes, mitigation, yes, we still maintain security, then we have action plans so that everything can be safe, peaceful and protected,” he concluded.
