On Monday, consultations began with President Rumen Radev before the handing over of an exploratory mandate for the possible formation of a government. The head of state first met with the winner of the last elections – GERB. However, their leader Boyko Borisov demonstrated that he is pessimistic about forming a government.
He commented that since the party of Slavi Trifonov ITN does not want to support a cabinet with the first mandate, it is almost impossible to cast a government. Borisov also criticized PP-DB.
“We will make more efforts, but yesterday we heard ITN. This predetermines going to elections. Sorry, that’s the reality. I only hear spells, I hear who is how greatBorisov commented.
He also stated that he cannot determine the penultimate (referring to the ITN) whether the government will be an expert. The leader of GERB insists that only with the mandate of his party can he have a cabinet, demanding the prime minister’s seat, the foreign ministry and that of defense.

DPS currently supports GERB. The co-chairman of the movement, Delyan Peevski, has repeatedly stated that they are ready to take responsibility.
The PP-DB say that they will be the opposition, regardless of what government will be formed. They lost support from the coalition in the last elections after ruling together with GERB for nine months.
From ITN, which gave its support to the election of the Speaker of the Parliament Raya Nazaryan, they say that they will not vote for a government with the first and second terms. They want to receive the third from Radev and offer an “expert cabinet”.
BSP, as well as the new Velichie party, will also participate in the consultations. Vazrazhdane, which is the fourth political force in these elections, voted against the election and gave no indication that they would support a government with the GERB mandate.
