In the administrative and business center of the city, the Head of Government inspected the construction sites for the construction of the regional akimat, buildings of administrations and departments, the Media Center, and the Congress Hall. The priority direction of city development is social facilities: stadium, Schoolchildren’s Palace, Public Service Center. At the preparatory stage – the construction of a music school, a Sports Palace with a swimming pool, and a regional scientific and universal library. For the comfortable living of the population, the improvement of the region is being prepared: the First President’s Park, a city park with attractions, a musical fountain, an amphitheater, and an Arbat. All construction work is progressing according to schedule and will be completed on time.

As part of the working trip, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Mamin inspected a section of B. Sattarkhanov Avenue, connecting the city with the entrance gates of the regional center, the reconstruction of which will allow the roadway to be expanded to 18 meters. The Head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan inspected the work on creating a “green belt” around the city of Turkestan and the development of the irrigation system. Plans for the reconstruction of the Arys-Turkestan canal and the construction of the Machine Canal were examined: the implementation of the projects will completely solve the issue of shortage of irrigation water and increase the annual volume of agricultural production. Projects for expanding the territory of the industrial zone and launching the SEZ “TURKISTAN” were presented” It is expected that the establishment of infrastructure will increase the influx of private investment.

Particular attention was paid to the development of the historical and cultural part of the city. The Prime Minister visited the construction site of the Museum of H.A. Yassawi, Tourist Visit Center, Eastern Bath in the form of historical architecture. The regional akimat presented plans for improvement of the territory of the Azret Sultan museum-reserve and restoration work of historical sites of the ancient settlement.

Following the visit to the sites, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a working meeting on the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Construction and Development of Turkestan for 2019–2020.
