Congress recognizes the work of officials

The State Congress recognized the work carried out by the citizens who served as polling station officials during the last election day.

“Last Sunday, June 2, Mexican citizens gathered to renew and elect the future leaders who will direct the destinies of the country and the legislative chambers, both at the federal and local levels, including the local Congress in Durango,” said the deputy. Ricardo López Pescador.

He considered it vital to recognize the effort and dedication of men and women who were in the polling stations, ensuring the functioning of the democratic process by opening the polls, receiving citizen votes, carrying out the count accurately and delivering the electoral package. Likewise, the massive participation of voters stood out, who, despite the long lines, demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their civic duty,” he added.

“The real challenge now lies in building a government that reflects the values ​​of maturity, responsibility and openness. The winning candidates are called to dialogue and govern for all citizens, promoting transparent and efficient management that benefits the entire society” , he added.
