Completion of the water tank and chlorination plant project in Sirte by more than 97%

Sirte, March 23, 2024 (Libyan News) – Sources at the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency office in Sirte confirmed that the company executing the water tank and chlorination plant project in the city has completed its work at a rate of more than 97%, and work is now underway to connect the tank to the electricity source and to the main source of feeding the tank. With drinking water, installing the main pumping system, and supplying and installing the chlorination station, after completing all civil works at the station site.

The same sources explained to the correspondent of the Libyan newspaper Al-Anbaa that the tank will be handed over to the General Water Company upon completion of implementation, as it is the operating body.

It is worth noting that the Director of the Office of the Housing and Utilities Projects Implementation Agency in Sirte, Kamal Suleiman, visited the project headquarters to see the progress of work in the final stages of the project, accompanied by the Director of the Central Eastern Operation and Maintenance Department at the General Water Company, Muhammad Al-Tali’i, and the Director of the Sirte Distribution Department at the General Electricity Company, Hamid. Heblo, Director of the Sirte Services Office at the General Water Company, and Director of the Sirte Distribution Department at the General Electricity Company.

The project includes a 1,500 m3 water tank in the Giza Military District, and a chlorination station in the tank in the Rabat district of Sirte, adjacent to the University of Sirte. (Libyan News_Sirte) H. A
